Total HydroCarbons analysis

The chromaTHC is an automated isothermal industrial gas chromatograph dedicated to the analysis of volatile organic compounds in air (indoor, outdoor, combustion), industrial hygiene, pure gas like N2/CO2/O2.

The chromaTHC delivers CH4 and Non-Methane Total Hydro Carbon (NMTHC) monitoring and analysis of Methane and Non-Methane Hydrocarbons by flame ionization detection (ppm level analysis)

  • As a fully automatic instrument, the CHROMATHC allows un-attended operation after commissioning 24/24.
  • The injection is made in an isothermal oven at a standard temperature 80°C.
  • The separation between CH4 and (C2H6 for UHC) and NMTHC is achieved using a column with back flush.

Unlike other similar analyzers, there is no interference with oxygen.

To eliminate issues with flame fluctuation, a valve regulates carrier gas (hydrogen or Nitrogen or air).
The retention time drift is less than 0.3 %.

  • The instrument has a flame ionization detector (FID) heated at 150°C with auto ignition.

Chromatec AirTOXIC BTX PID is a GC/PID for automatic monitoring of BTEX in air, water and soils. The instrument uses gas chromatography, to measure the amount of Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene and Xylenes in the air from sub-ppb levels up to 1,000 ppb.

The main features of the airTOXIC BTX PID are its sensitivity, compact size, mobility and flexibility. Everything from the sample port to the data storage is integrated in a 19″-rack 5U.

The airTOXIC BTX PID uses a port valve with a single absorbent trap and a metallic 0.28mm ID column. It has a programmed gradient temperature of the oven and pressure/flow control of the carrier gas. Detection is done using a Photo-Ionisation Detector with a self-cleaning 10.6 eV PID lamp for high stability.

Its minimum detection limit is as low as 10 ppt for Benzene or 1.3-Butadiene (A76022) in ambient air.

Vistachrom® Software

The Vistachrom® software enables the user to view and store data on an internal computer. It provides comfortable user-friendly utilities to recalculate, calibrate and export data and to configure the measurement.

The software allows the calculation of retention time, area, mass or concentration profiles, in any measuring unit.

Ethernet connectivity provides efficient remote access, allowing the user to download measurement information directly from the instrument without having to be on-site.
