The SMP12 is fully compliant with ISO 9060:2018 and IEC 61724-1:2021.<\/p>\n<p>With a non-stability change of &lt;0.5% over five years and a 5-year calibration interval, it delivers unmatched durability.<br \/>\n(To be compliant with IEC61724-1 Class A system requirements, recalibration is required every 2-years from date of installation.)&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Designed for spectral flatness, the SMP12 provides consistently precise measurements in any environment.<\/p>\n<h3>Features:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>ISO 9060:2018 and IEC 61724-1:2021 Class A compliant<\/li>\n<li>Solid-state dome heating for dew and frost prevention.<\/li>\n<li>Multi-axis tilt sensor to enable remote monitoring of the pyranometer mounting and orientation.<\/li>\n<li>Internal humidity and temperature monitoring to provide confidence in the integrity of the instruments internal functionality.<\/li>\n<li>Best-in-class surge protection conforms to EN 61000-6-2 Industrial standard<\/li>\n<li>Maintenance-free operation \u2013 no moving parts that can wear out<\/li>\n<li>Easy system integration \u2013 RS-485 and Modbus\u00ae RTU compatible<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The new SMP12 is fast response spectrally flat Class A pyranometer that combines solid-state dome heating, with no moving parts, and best-in-class surge protection to maximize accuracy and minimize maintenance.<\/p>\n<p>The SMP12 combines proven sensor and diffuser technology from the RaZON+ PH1 and PR1 radiometers with an enhanced version of the Smart interface and the low maintenance of the SMP10.<\/p>\n<p>The SMP12 has an internal drying cartridge that will last for at least 10 years if the housing is unopened. This reduces maintenance significantly.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The SMP12 has a 2-wire RS-485 Modbus\u00ae RTU interface but, unlike the other SMP models, it does not have an analog output. The characteristics of the thermopile detector provide a fast response time of less than half a second. The wide power supply range from 10 to 30 VDC makes integration into solar energy plant performance monitoring stations easy. SMP12 has class-leading electrical protection in the form of 2-stage surge and reverse polarity protection on the power input and 3-stage surge protection on the RS-485 data lines.<\/p>\n<p>Like all SMP series pyranometers, the calibrated sensitivity is stored in memory and can be accessed via the Modbus\u00ae interface and the measured irradiance value is output via Modbus\u00ae in W\/m\u00b2.
